Asus VS228 Color calibration and Install guide

I purchased two Asus monitors from my local PC shop and was excited to hook them up and have dual screen glory as my old silver HP monitor (circa 2012) died. To my dismay, well, I thought cataracts had formed on my eyes as the viewing was cloudy and reminded me of bad polarized sunglasses. Anyway, I found out a good fix is to mess around with the color profiles, and I found the Asus VS228.icm file, installed it and well, it was not so good.

So after about five weeks of messing around, adjusting it, getting it sort of ok, I really still didn't like it. So I found a solution to the Asus monitor display problem with installing the color profile for the Asus VS247.icm file.

Installing
To install under windows 10, do the following.

1. Right mouse click and select Display Settings.

2. Then click on Advanced display settings.

3. Click on Color management. make sure that the ☑ Use my settings for this device is ticked.

4. On the first Tab, click add... then Browse...  (find your downloaded asus_VS247_user.icm file).

5. Then click on the ASUS VS247 and click on the Set as Default Profile box.

Then select your next display and repeat number 5.
